We are excited to announce the certification of our committed civil society members who were awarded on the recent Quarterly General Members’ Progress Meeting, held on the 12th June 2019 at the ANPPCAN-SOM HQ, Hargeisa. Membership in the Somaliland Civil Society Network for SUN is based on an alignment with the goals of the Somaliland and Global SUN Movements. Membership is open to both organizations and individuals who meet the set agreed inclusion criteria, read more.
The key requirements for inclusion include:
- Involvement in provision of nutrition specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions in Somaliland;
- have aims consistent with the functions and spirit of SUN Movement and committed to work collaboratively in a national platform, focused on nutrition, food and income security, child health, maternal health, and health systems strengthening particularly for nutrition among other criteria.
At the moment the network has 16 members listed below and the membership recruitment is ongoing.
African Network for the Prevention and Protection Against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN-SOM), World Vision, Population Service International (PSI), American Refugee Council, Somaliland Nutrition and Rural Development Organization (SOLNARDO), Taakulo Somaliland Community, HEAL, Mercy-USA, Save the Children, Health Poverty Action, World Concern, DAN, CARE, SCODO, Candlelight-SOM and SAYS.

Following the principle of inclusiveness of the SUN movement, membership is open to any civil society organisation and institution wanting to link with the Somaliland Civil Society Network for SUN (SLCSN-SUN). Joining the network should however be an institutional choice and not an individual one. Organisations already a member of another network of the SUN movement will not be eligible for SLCSN-SUN membership. By becoming a member, you commit to actively contribute to the objectives of SUN and the SLCSN-SUN.
